Current “in style” and hot trends can always be easily identified on a college campus. In the 1960’s and 1970’s co-eds decorated their rooms with lavish lava lamps and beads in their doorways, psychedelic colored posters adored each wall and black lights were “groovy” to have around. In the 1990’s lava lamps made a huge comeback in nearly every college girl’s dorm room, beads were once again hung in doorways in campuses across America and psychedelic posters were resurrected on white dorm walls. Even black lights made an appearance to even out the trend. So, what are this year’s college freshmen using as the prime theme of decor for their dorm rooms? (more…)

Sometimes there is confusion amongst antique clocks when different books and experts call the same type of clock by different names due to trade customs or geographical differences. A “Bracket clock” in England may be referred to as a “Shelf clock” or a “Mantle clock” by a dealer in the United States. (more…)
